PUNISHMENT

49. Similar punishment for capital offences whether by verdict or confession.

Any person, indicted for any offence made capital by any statute, is liable to the same punishment, whether he is convicted by verdict or confession, and this follows as well in the case of accessories as of principals.

JUDGMENT OF DEATH

61. Execution of prisoner under sentence of death shall be done according to law.

Whenever any offender has been convicted, before any Court of criminal jurisdiction, of an offence for which the offender is liable to, and receives, the sentence of death, the Court shall order and direct execution to be done on the offender in the manner provided by law.
