Perjury and Similar Crimes

424. Perjury.

Whoever commits perjury shall be liable to imprisonment for ten years.

425. Perjury on trial for capital crime.

Whoever commits perjury with intent to cause the conviction of any person for any crime punishable with death, shall be liable to imprisonment for life .

427. False declarations.

Whoever, in any declaration made in pursuance of any Act shall wilfully or corruptly declare to the truth of any matter material to be stated in such declaration, knowing the matter so declared to be false, shall be liable to the same penalties as if he had committed perjury.

(a) Giving false testimony when under an obligation pursuant to article 69, paragraph 1, to tell the truth
