MUTUAL ASSISTANCE IN CRIMINAL MATTERS ACT

PRELIMINARY

3. Central Authority for Trinidad and Tobago.

(1) Subject to subsection (2), the Attorney General shall be the Central Authority.

(2) The Attorney General may delegate any of his functions under this Act to any public officer or legal officer employed in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs.

(3) Nothing in this section shall be construed as delegating to the officer referred to in subsection (2), a power to make Regulations under section 39.

Requests for cooperation: general provisions
1. (a) The Court shall have the authority to make requests to States Parties for cooperation. The requests shall be transmitted through the diplomatic channel or any other appropriate channel as may be designated by each State Party upon ratification, acceptance, approval or accession. Subsequent changes to the designation shall be made by each State Party in accordance with the Rules of Procedure and Evidence.
