Age of criminal responsibility
26.— (1) A person under twelve years of age is not criminally
responsible for any act which he or she does which is contrary to law.
(2) A person of twelve years of age and below sixteen years of age is criminally responsible for any act done by him or her unless he or she is not of sufficient maturity of understanding to enable him or her to appreciate the nature and consequences of his or her conduct in respect of which he or she is accused.

86. (9) Notwithstanding subsection (4) and subject Joint commission to subsection (10) a sentence of death shall not be pronounced on or recorded against a person convicted of capital murder if it appears to the Court that at the time the offence was committed he or she was under the age of eighteen years.
