Article 27. Right to life
II. Everyone’s right to life shall be inviolable, except in the event of armed attacks on the state by enemy soldiers, in the case of execution of capital punishment pursuant to a court judgement that has become effective, and in other cases as provided by law.
III. Until it has been completely abolished, capital punishment may be envisaged by law as an exclusive penalty only for particularly serious crimes against the state, or against the life and health of another human being.
